Living a healthy life is everyone’s goals. But what does “healthy” really mean to you? Is it losing more weight? Or hitting the gym to get more muscles? Well, both definitions are correct. The only incorrect thing is the way we see it. Most of us want to be “healthy” just for a better physical appearance. What we should focus more is the health benefit from it. Below are 6 health benefits of exercising.

Type II diabetes

Many of us are diagnosed with Type II diabetes each year. To make it worst, the number of people diagnosed with it keeps on increasing, including the diagnosis of childhood Diabetes. There’s no cure for it. The only thing we can do is prevention. By exercising 30 minutes, 3 times per week, we can reduce the risk of becoming diabetic. So, reschedule your schedule for workout time to suits your lifestyle.

Risk of cancer

Cancer is not something you can joke around. All of us are trying our best to avoid anything that can increase the risk of getting it. One of the ways to decrease the risk is to incorporate 150 minutes of moderate workout every week. It might seem like a lot, but it’s only about 20 minutes of exercising every day. Examples of moderate exercise are brisk walking or swimming.

Depression

If you get this unsettling feeling that something is wrong, go out and get some fresh air.  Studies have shown that doing exercise, including walking can give a positive impact on depression symptoms. You can strive for 175 minutes’ walk each week. That is about 30 minute per day, 5 days a week.

High blood pressure

There are variations of the aerobic exercises out there. Not just that it’s fun to do, it can also reduce the chances of developing high blood pressure. How? Easy! Just do 120 minutes of aerobic exercise a week.

Improve memory

We can gain tons of benefits by doing exercise including mental improvement. To get a better mind and body, set yourself into 90 minutes routine of exercising each week. It will give you a positive side effect which is memory improvement.

Premature death

Do you want to live a long and happy life? I believe all of us would say yes right? To get your optimal health and improve your lifespan, you need to schedule 450 minutes of exercise each week. Say what? 450? Guys, calm down. It’s actually over an hour a day, 7 days a week only. And you can choose any exercise that you want.
